Part 1

(Movie Summary)

"Pay It Forward" is about trying to make a difference in peoples' lives. In the movie, a young boy named Trevor has an idea about helping 3 people and then getting them to help 3 more people and it goes on and on. He first tries to help out a homeless man named Jerry but it doesn't really work out. Then he tries to help out his teacher, Mr. Simonet and his friend. At the end of the movie, Trevor gets stabbed by one of the bullies and passes away.

What was your Pay It Forward act of kindness?

I chose babysitting my two little cousins as my Pay It Forward act of kindness.

Why did you choose this activity?

I chose this activity because I wanted to help out my hardworking aunt and uncle by giving them a break from looking after my cousins.

Who did you help?

I helped my aunt and uncle.

What did you do?

I looked after my cousins. I watched them play, fed them, and played video games with them.

When did you do your act of kindness?

I did my act of kindness on December 18 at around 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Part 3

How did your act of kindness go?

It went really well because they behaved very well except for some issues about wanting to play a D.S. but it was broken.

What happened?

I looked after them for two hours. We played some video games, watched T.V., I looked after them while they ate dinner, and we played some other games.

How did you feel?

I felt really good about Paying It Forward. It felt really nice knowing that you were able to help out in a way.

How did the person or people react?

They were really happy that I looked after my cousins.

Did you ask the person or people to "Pay It Forward"?

Yes I did because I told them that I was doing this project for school called "Pay It Forward" and I told them that it would be really nice if they would be able to do something to "Pay It Forward" too.

How did they react to your request?

They told me that they would think about it but I'm not really sure if they know what they were going to do.

Part 4

Why is the idea of "Pay It Forward" important?

I think that the idea of "Pay It Forward" is important because it's a chance to be able to make a difference in peoples' lives and hopefully make a difference around the world. I really like idea of helping 3 people and then getting them to help 3 more people and so on because the help will be able to spread very quickly.

Has your act of kindness made a difference?

I really hope so but if not I'll still be doing a lot of other things to "Pay It Forward" and I hope everyone else will too.

Hanin's Pay it Forward

Part 1



Pay it forward is an idea for doing an act of kindness and not expecting something back. The idea came from a movie called Pay it Forward. In the movie, a young boy named Trevor is given an assighnment to come up with an idea to change the world. That is how he comes up with idea of helping someone and not expecting anything back and telling that person to pay it forward to someone else.



Part 2



My act of kindness was donating some clothes to Value Village. I chose this activity because I had some old clothes lying around that I didn't need. So I figured I could donate them. So I deciced to help Value Village. I went and donated my old clothes to Value Village on Saturday December 18 2010.















Part 3

My act of kindness went great it was perfect. I gave the guy who works there the bag of clothes. I felt good about it. The guy smiled and took the bag. I did not tell the guy to Pay it Forward because he is just a guy who works there.

Part 4

Pay it Forward is an important idea because it reaches people to give and not expect something back. It also helps people and teaches people to be kind. Alot of problems could be solved with pay it forward. My act kindness was to help Value Village with Donations it could make difference to Value Village (wich I heard the money they make goes to the army, I don't know if thats true though). It could help Value Village by giving it more things to sell.

Trisha's Pay It Forward.

Part 1:

(Movie Summary)

Pay It Forward is about a boy named Trevor, he gets a project from his teacher. The project was to effect lives of random people. He started with three people but the first one did work, the point of his doing is to help three people and those three people have to help three more people.

(My opinion on taking it forward)

I think paying it forward is when you do something nice for people and they'll do the same to other people. Then it makes a chain, and everyone is help.. i guess.

Part 2:

My act of kindness that I did was that I altar served at my church, St Edward. I chose this activity because I wanted to make the priest's job easier.

Part 3:

I think it went pretty well, I spent my Sunday serving at the church. I felt that for me God was close to me and this is me paying it forward for all the blessing he gave to me and to my family. The priest thanked me for all the help I provided.

Part 4:

I think the idea of paying it forward is important because doing something nice might effect the person or you and that we can help each other. I hope my act of kindness made a difference.

Paul's Pay It Forward

Pay It Forward is a project were 1 person will do an act of kindness to 3 people. In the movie a boy named Trevor thought of this idea to help a homeless man, his teacher Mr. Simonet and his friend that is being bullied. He thought his pay it forward didn't work but actually it did. it spread through from Las Vegas to Los Angeles. His act of kindness spreads like a tree growing or like a chain. Sadly, at the end when he tries to stand up on the bullies, he got stabbed and passed away.

My act of kindness for Pay It Forward is that I made cards with candy canes. On the card it said "Pay it Forward" on the front, then when you open it, it says what were doing and why were doing pay it forward. At the back of the card it either says "Happy holidays" for people that doesn't celebrate Christmas and "Merry Christmas and Happy New Year" for the people that do celebrate Christmas. I did my Pay It Forward with Kevin H and Vincent M. We went around the neighborhoods giving it to people, We chose this activity because it's something that we would like to work hard on and giving the cards out with the efforts we put into it. Also it is another way of letting more people know about " Pay It Forward ". We didn't have any specific people to help, we mostly helped strangers that we pass by and we passed by some friends. We gave them cards and candy canes with suggestions inside on how to help the environment. We did our Pay It Forward in December 18, 2010 starting at 2:00-6:00 pm.

These are the two guys that we thought really understood Pay It Forward. They really said that they would like to help and they really thought what we were doing was cool.

Another person is this old man shoveling snow, we approached him and told him about Pay It Forward. He even asked " Do I Pay this Forward ? " and we said " yes, you could pay it forward in anyway".

Our act of kindness really went well because over half of the cards we made have been given to many people and left on many car windshields. It was really fun talking to many people that care about the cause. We also passed through some friends along the way. I felt really happy because we gave out lots of cards with candy canes. Also that we made lots of people happy, but some of the people that we approached didn't want that card so we felt really sad about that. Some people acted surprised, some felt happy for taking the cards but some just took it and acted like it was just nothing. We really asked a lot of people to pay it forward because on the card it says " Pay It Forward" and what pay it forward is. Lots of people reacted a little confused for the request so we had to explain it more in details. If we really didn't ask the person to pay it forward, it's probably because that person acted like the card and our efforts was just nothing.

Pay It Forward is a great idea because it tells more people that you can do anything to change someones life. Our act of kindness has made a difference by letting more people now about "Pay It Forward" and making them know that they could make a change for someones life.

Raelynn's Pay it Foward

Part 1
(Movie Summary)
"Pay it Forward" is about a 12 year old boy named Trevor, who was given an assignment from Mr. Simonet (a social studies teacher) to make a difference in peoples' lives by helping them. You have to help 3 people and you don't expect anything back. It keeps going by helping three other people and so on. Trevor first helps a homeless man, but it didn't turn out very well until he asked the lady to have coffee with him. Later on, Trevor helps Mr. Simonet by planning a date with his mom - but it didn't work out either until at the end. Near at the end, Trevor gets stabbed while defending his friend by the bullies who were hurting him. He sadly passed away. But the movement of the "Pay It Forward" was sucessful as a large number of people who gathered around Trevor's house - placing candles and flowers in front of his yard as a remembrance.

What was your Pay It Forward act of kindness?
My Pay it Forward act of kindness was to help my aunt shovel her backyard.

Why did you choose this activity?
I chose this activity because I've notice that she's really busy working. She told me her job is pretty tiring and she doesn't have time to shovel the snow. I didn't want her to get exhausted. So I thought shoveling her backyard would be a nice idea.

Who did you help?
I helped my aunt.

What did you do?
I helped her by shoveling the snow.

When did you do you act of kindness?
I started this at December 19, 2010. Afternoon.

Part 3

How did your act of kindness go?
My act of kindness went pretty well after shoveling. It was successful after doing that. But it was abit tiring - I managed to get going though.

What Happened?
I helped shovel my aunt's backyard.

How did you feel?
I felt great. I'm pretty satisfied after doing this.

How did the person or people react?
My aunt was very thankful for me that I shoveled her backyard. So it would be less frustrating for her to do this by herself after working in her job. I gladly said "You're Welcome" and we both smiled. So after that I went back home.

Did you ask the person or people to "Pay It Forward"?
Yes, I asked her to "Pay It Forward". I explained why. So she said "Okay, sure."

How did they react to your request?
She was pretty surprised while I was discussing her about this favor. I think I'm the first person to help out. I'm not sure about her kids though but I'm sure that she would be very happy.

The idea of "Pay it Forward" was important because there's a chance for us to help make a difference in someone's life by helping them. Even a little thing can make a difference in peoples' lives. At least you tried to help out by showing your act of kindness.

I am not sure. It depends on the owner. At least I tried to "Pay it Forward".

I chose this activity because winnipeg harvest help alot of people with no food.

i helped sort out food at winnipeg harvest and the food got sorted into different boxes. These boxes go out to people that have no food.

I volunteered at winninpeg harvest, which then the food goes out to the hungry people

Patrick's Pay It Forward.

Part 1:
A young boy named Trevor was doing a project that he wanted to do called Pay It Froward. His teacher really liked that idea. Paying It Forward was when you help three people. Then each of those people will help three more, then it will continue to grow so we can make everybody's life better. First he tries helping a homeless man, but that doesn't really work out, until the end. Then he tries helping his teacher, by taking him on a date with his mom. That doesn't really go well, until the end, again. The third person he tries to help was his friend. He was getting bullied by three people. Trevor tries to help his friend and he jumps onto one of the bullies. Sadly, he gets stabbed and then he passes away.

My Pay It Forward act of kindness was helping the janitors of our school, Sargent Park.

Why did you choose this activity?
I chose this activity because I found out that some parts of the school are really messy, and the janitors have to clean the whole school every single day. So my group and I decided to help them out by making there job easier.

Who did you help?
We helped the janitors of Sargent Park.

What did you do?
We cleaned up Sargent Park School.

When did you do you act of kindness?

We did this after school on December 17, 2010



My friends and I decided that the janitors have a lot to clean, because Sargent Park is a really big school and there are only a few janitors. We swept the halls and classrooms. We cleaned all the bathrooms and we took out the garbage.

I think that my act of kindness went very well because we cleaned a lot of the school.

The school got cleaned by us.
