Hi, my name is Ryan Bautista and I'm in grade 8. I really like math, learning about different types of mathematical stuff such as, Decimals, Fractions, Ratios and Etc. Sometimes i have trouble doing multiplication, like multiplying with decimals.
Back in grade 7, I learned how to do algebra equations and other new stuff. I also learned how to do exponents from the book i had called the Number of the day, we had to convert it to decimals, exponents, ratios, squared, multiplying, dividing, adding, subtracting and also fractions. I also learned B.E.D.M.A.S which stand for (Brackets, Exponents, Division, Multiplication, Addition and Subtraction) that is used in many problems i had. Then i learned the 3 M's (Mean, Median , Mode and Range) that talks about finding the number that is meant for the terms. I also had trouble finding the radius, diameter and Now this year in grade 8, I learned alot of different things like during the weeks like, finding the rate, unit rate and unit price. I also learned about ratios and proportional reasoning. We have a pink sheet that helps us remember the definitions of the words i listed. This year i want to focus on studying hard for my test and quizzes and get my homework done for marks. I will also ask the teacher for help if I need help on a problem that I'm having trouble on. I want to learn some things that I'll be learning in grade 9 and learn more about fractions.
Last year my favorite blog was this one : http://room42math09.blogspot.com/2010/02/adding-fractionas.html this is my favorite one because this was my first blog i ever made in grade 7. This year I'm am looking forward to make other great blogs as well as the other blogs and also to make progress in school.
