The Pay It Forward movie was about Trevor, an 11 year old boy who tries to make a change for the world. His Social Studies teacher Mr. Simonet had given the class an assignment. Trevor's plan was to do something nice for three people. Instead of Trevor paying it back, the three people have to "pay it forward" to three other people. The movie shows a huge difference on people who receive the favor and also to those who had paying it forward. At the end of the movie, the "Pay It Forward" group had grew big as many more people paid their respect to Trevor who had died from a fight.
My Pay It Forward act of kindness was to shoveling my grandpa's front yard. I had chose this act of kindness because I thought it would be nice to shovel his. So I had help my grandpa and grandma. So I decided to shovel the snow they usualy walk. I had did my act of kindness in the afternoon of December 21 2010.
My act of kindness went just how i planned in the begin. I shoveled the snowout of the path way.The snow was very heavy but the shovel wasn't that heavy, it didn't talk that much effort. I felt warm in the inside after my grandpa smile and gave me a hug. My grandpa and grandma was really thankful of what I had done for them. I had ask my grandpa and grandma to pay it forward and they said "yes" they will do something good for someone.
The idea "Pay It Forward" is important because I think if people will do and act of kindness and it pay it forward, many lives will be different. Some people do good things because they want to recieve something in return. I feel my act of kindness made a difference.

Arun's Pay it Forward
Pay it forward is a random act of kindness someone does and they don't expect anything back in return. The person can chose whether or not to return the favour.
What I did to pay it forward was to donate my old clothes along with Christian to our local donation centre. I chose this way to pay it forward because I know there are a lot of kids less fortunate then me who would need them more than I would.
After driving there, all we had to do was drop off our bags of clothes and someone would pick them up and bring them inside. My act of kindness went great and I felt good after knowing I had helped out someone less fortunate than me.
The idea of paying it forward is very important because it teaches people to not be selfish and show respect for others in need. I know my act of kindness has made a difference.

Shenna's Pay it Forward
Part 1
Pay it Forward is a movie about Trevor, an 11 year old boy who tries to change the world for the better after an assignment given by his social studies teacher, Mr. Simonet. His plan is to do something nice for three people. Instead of paying Trevor back, the three people have to "pay it forward" to three other people each and so on. As the movie progress, it shows that the movement made a huge difference on people who receive the favor and to those who were paying it forward. By the end of the movie, it is clear that the "Pay it Forward" movement grew really big as thousands of people paid their respects to Trevor who died and started the movement.
Part 2
My Pay it Forward act of kindness was shoveling my friend's front and backyard. I chose this activity because I thought it would be nice to ease their burden of shoveling. So I help my friend and her family. I shoveled the snow out of the path where people would often walked. I did my act of kindness on Sunday, December 19, 2010 around 2:00 p.m.

My act of kindness went pretty well despite the weather being cold. I shoveled the snow out of the path. The shovel was heavy plus the weight of the snow makes it more harder and it took a lot more effort but at the end it was successful. I felt this pleasant feeling inside after seeing my friend smile because of the kindness I did. My friend and her family was really grateful and thank me for the kindness I've done for them. I only ask my friend to pay it forward and she said she would like to do that but unfortunately I forgot to ask her family because an hour later after I told my friend to pay it forward, the request that I was supposed to ask her family slipped out of my mind so I didn't get to tell. I will do that next time and try not to forget when I have the opportunity to do it again.
Part 4
I think the idea of Pay it Forward is important because it will help change the world for the better and it will help make a difference in the lives of many people. I don't know if my act of kindness made a difference but hopefully it will make a difference to my friend and her family.

When he tried to help his friend, he was stabbed and die. Many people came to their house to show how they feel for Trevor and they put flowers on their yard.

It went really well when I babysit my cousin. I fed him, and I played with him. He is really cute and he was behave when i was feeding him rice. He learned some new letters and he can say "mommy" and "daddy" clearly now. I felt something when I was doing it but I can't explain what I felt. Before my time was over, he was so sleepy so I carry him to their room and wait until he really was slept. My cousin seems to be happy for babysitting him for two hours. And before went home, I told my auntie to pay it forward to other people to help them on any way she wants. My auntie really appreciate what I did so she told me that She will pay it forward to other people.

What I did as my act of kindness, is that I decided to give my neighbors food suplies. We have a lot of food suplies hiding in our cabinet. We don't need all of those, so I decided to give it to our neighbors.

Kayla Steen's Pay It Forward
Part 1
Pay It Forward to me was a very emotional and inspirational movie that you only find once in a while. After we had finished watching it, I had to admit that even I was crying. I don’t cry easy. When I think about it, I would like to meet the person that came up with pay it forward in the first place. I don’t know if it had in fact been a child, but if it had, I would have liked to meet him/her, all the same. What affected me the most would be the ending, again. It’s just that he died, and didn’t even do anything wrong. It was so sad, but to see all those people go and place flowers and to gather and acknowledge him, it was just terribly sad and beautiful. I wish that a child could change the world. It would show that if children can do it, why can’t you, too? Why can’t you change the world? Because you can’t? because it’s too big? No, it’s because you haven’t tried, and, I must admit, that I haven’t tried either. Because I want to, but don’t want to at the same time. I want to stay in my comfort zone. Where I feel safe. I don’t want to go out into the Big Bad World, because I’m comfortable now right here. I’m afraid that the world will eat me if I leave my family and the people I know, never to return and I don’t want to leave my comfort zone, even if I want to change the world. I guess that my will and wish to change it is too vague for the world to acknowledge. And I can admit that.
Part 2
What I did for my Pay It Forward took me a long time to figure out. Well, not really a long time, considering it had probably been 2 days, but it seemed so much longer to me.
Thereason that I couldn't come up with anything is because I'm not a very good thinker, but I completely make that up in wording... and actually reading, unlike some people I know. *cough cough* … *nudge nudge*(silence)
I'm not very good with ideas. Where was I, again? Oh, yes. I wouldn't have known a good idea if it hit me in the arse. forget writers' block. “Sorry, Good Idea, It just wouldn’t work out for us in a long-term relationship. I love your characters and themes but your plot is so hard to get along with. You’re just not my type. I need my space.” Yeah. Like that’s going to happen. So, contemplating this at home in my room, I was leaning back on my chair with my feet on the desk brainstorming, with no apparent luck, and my thoughts drifted to my neighbor, who lives not two doors down from our humble family of three (well, actually she does, but you don't know that yet). Mrs. Kreis, the women I was telling you about, is an elderly lady at the ripe old age of **. . . ( aha! not like I would tell you, nice try though…don’t worry, rammy is somuch older. As in millions of years older), and I was thinking about when our last encounter had been. If I remembered correct, I was pretty sure that I had not gone to her house in a week,and I was a little bit worried about how she was doing, if she needed help with anything, and so on. And that's when it hit me. Literally. (..I had fallen out of my chair from leaning back toomuch, and hit my head on hard wood. not a pleasant feeling, I remind you). But, nonetheless, Istill had it. I would have jumped 15 feet in the air (if i could, of course, but, unfortunately I can't) and got a piece of paper out of my binder that I scribbled like mad on while smiling triumphantly, thoroughly pleased with myself. I had decided I would make it my duty to make a good contribution to pay it forward, and I had found the perfect subject: Mrs. Kreis.When I thought of doing Mrs. kreis as the person I would help, I knew I had picked the right decision and person. Even whenI had visited her before, she always seemed bustling with life and purpose, fixing the garden, cleaning out the garage. But I always did wonder if, sometimes, by and chance, she ever got lonely? Well, that wouldn't do, now would it? No, it definitely would not.
So,I went to visit my old friend, because the day before I had decided that I would tell her about my proposition and all about Pay It Forward.Over tea, that is. Everybody loves tea cookies.
When I had finished telling her, I was feeling very excited at the prospectof doing the project. Inside, I was actually very nervous, because I really wanted to so it, but what if she refused?
But, in the end, she agreed anyway though, and I was very happy that I had made her so happy. For a second I though I might have seen tears, but I can’t be sure. (I speak no lies.)
What exactly did she agree to, you ask? Well, the pay it forward act of kindness I’m going to do, (wait for it) … is help my old, next door neighbor to shovel her walk, go carry her groceries when she goes out shopping, keep her company when she’s alone, and listen to her about things from a long time ago that she might want to talk about, to help her bake all the pastries that she knows I love and any other odd jobs she has around her house.
You see, it’s not that she doesn’t have family, she does, it’s just that she alone. She has children and grandchildren, and had a husband, but they are all in other places now. Her sons and daughters have all left home and grown up, they do visit with their children to greet and see grandma Freita, but they all live in different places and provinces. And, sadly, only last year Mrs. Kreis had lost her husband to Colon Cancer. I remember that he used to walk up and down the back lane by our house, and my dadwould talk to him and ask him how things were doing.
The time when I had done part of my act of kindness was when I, this night, had gone to Mrs. Kreis’s house to talk to her about when she was a child and how her family had survived through WW2. It was very emotional and I got to learn new things and I am grateful to her for what she has confided in me.
Part 3
My act of kindness went very well, and I hope to help more in the near future as well. It was all very interesting, but an insightful encounter and one that I hope to come by again soon. When I had gone through my act of kindness for the day, I felt very happy, but also solemn and I think it was because of the things she had told me about her childhood. She told me all these things, and I felt a warm tingly feeling in my chest because she already trusted me, and it feels good to be trusted in. I think the reason I did not ask her to pay it forward, is because I personally think that the paying it forward should be started by young people. Mrs. kreis was young, she had a happy life with no regrets, and I think she has already in her life, somewhere, already paid it forward. So, no, I don’t want to ask her to pay it forward, because I’m sure that somewhere she has already done so.

Instead of paying you back, you can tell them to pay it forward. Do it to three people and tell them to pay it forward to three more people and so on. This idea of Trevor made the characters in the movie connected. Trevor was on television because of this idea. At the end of the movie, Trevor died for trying to help his friend who was being bullied. Many people mourned for him and send their condolences.

I chose this act of kindness because I know that the people I helped really need someone to look after their daughter. They're always busy and I know that someone must look after their daughter. I helped my neighbor because no one will look after their daughter. I did this last Saturday( Dec. 18) because my neighbor had to go to work.In fact, my mom babysits this girl at weekdays but I told her that I'll babysit Alexa for free.
This is the girl I babysat. This picture was taken last Saturday, December 18.

My act of kindness went well. I was able to take care of Alexa until her parents came to pick her up. Although babysitting sounds simple, I'm telling you, it's not as easy as you think. I had a hard time to make this girl eat, take a bath and brush her teeth. Besides that, she was always running and it was exhausting to find and catch her. But somehow, I felt happy because I know that this girl needed me to take care of her while her parents were away. I didn't ask the person to pay it forward. I didn't ask them to pay it forward because I think I forgot. Next time I'll do it again, I will ask them to pay it forward.

My act of kindness went well. I was able to take care of Alexa until her parents came to pick her up. Although babysitting sounds simple, I'm telling you, it's not as easy as you think. I had a hard time to make this girl eat, take a bath and brush her teeth. Besides that, she was always running and it was exhausting to find and catch her. But somehow, I felt happy because I know that this girl needed me to take care of her while her parents were away. I didn't ask the person to pay it forward. I didn't ask them to pay it forward because I think I forgot. Next time I'll do it again, I will ask them to pay it forward.

The idea "Pay it Forward" is important because I think if every person will do an act of kindness and pay it forward, many lives of people will be changed.Some people do good because they want to receive something in return. If we overcome selfishness, I'm pretty sure it will create a very good change in our world. I think my act of kindness made a difference. Suzie's Pay it Forward
Part 1:
"Pay it Forward" is a movie about a boy named Trevor who comes up with a plan to make the world a better place. His plan is to do something to help 3 other people, get nothing in return, and those 3 people will help 3 people each, and so on. He helps a homeless man get back on his feet, and he helps his teacher and mother be happy. While he was trying to help a boy named Adam who was getting bullied, Trevor was stabbed and he sadly died. Chelsea's Pay it Forward
Part One:
"Pay it Forward" is a movie about a boy named Trevor, who is just starting Junior High. In his Social Studies class, his teacher, Mr. Simonet has asked him and his class about what they can do to change the world. Trevor had an idea of helping 3 people, and then telling those 3 to help another 3 and vice versa. He isn't expecting anything in return, but he's telling them to pass it on to more and more people.
Part Two:
What I did as my act of kindness, is that I went to one of my parents' legion workplace (at the Anavets #238), to help out there in the kitchen for the banquet, as well as the bingo hall, by counting the chips and assisting the young employees, who were close to my age.
I chose this activity, because I knew that both my mom and my dad are working very hard everyday at 2 of our legion locations, and trust me, it is very hard work. So, I decided to try and help them both on the busiest days, which are usually Fridays due to a lot of people coming in for banquets and especially bingo night.
I helped both of my parents, inside the kitchen. I also helped with 2 young employees, Courtney and Nicole in the bingo hall, as well as my mom's friend's kids who also work there. I did quite a lot of work, considering it was nearly packed, such as helping to wash the many dishes in the sink, putting back the extra dinner rolls back in its bags and even doing a bit of math by calculating the food orders that have been given to my dad. I did this act of kindness on Friday, December 17, 2010 right after school, since it was the only chance I got to do this project, before its due date.

My act of kindness turned out very well, and I wasn't expecting to be so exhausted at the end of the day. But, I managed to go through helping everyone who needed help.
Apparently, I got some great reactions from the people I was helping out. I didn't manage to get it on video, for we were in a rush because it was so busy. One of the seniors who was eating at the banquet asked if I was going to get paid at the end of the day. I replied, "Nope, I'm only paying it forward, and I'm not expecting anything in return.". So, basically, all of the employees and staff working at the bingo and in the kitchen were all very pleased that I had been helping them, meaning, my expectations of what their reaction were going to be were correct.
After 5 hours of assisting and helping, I felt very proud of myself for what I was doing to help my parents job. To be honest, I did not tell any of the employees to pay it forward. The reason is, is that because they already are in a way that is different (they get their pay at the end of each month, I believe). I trust what they are doing and that is why I didn't tell them to pay it forward.

The idea of paying it forward is important, because it can make a difference in someone's life, as well as the community and environment around you. My act of kindness has really made a difference at the Anavets. It made the banquet operate smoothly, as well as the bingo hall with all the seniors ordering food and beverages. It was a great experience working at the legion with many people I had just met on that day and whenever I can, I want to go back there and help again, and I actually will, in 2 years.

Kevin's Pay It Forward
1. Pay it forward is a project started by a boy named Trevor as a school assignment. This project meant he helped 3 people in particular a homeless man named Jerry, his teacher who gave him the assignment Mr.Simonet, and his friend Adam who is being bullied. Trevor then explains to his class how he helps 3 people and those 3 people help another 3. Trevor's pay it forward act succeeded but as a result of helping Adam he was stabbed and passed away. Towns people felt saddened that after all those acts of kindness he passed away, so they all showed empathy and went to show respect at his house.

We decided to hand out candy canes with cards that explain pay it forward, the idea to save electricity, and wishing people happy holidays. We decided to choose this idea because the holidays are coming up and it would be a fun way to keep the spirit of holidays alive, it was also to spread the word about energy consumption. I think we helped people who had a big energy consumption rate and people who really didn't care about the holidays. For this project we took effort into making the cards which took an hour, but took longer to actually hand them out and then we had to edit it all into a presentable video. We did our act of kindness on Saturday, December 18 at 2 - 7pm (including editing time) at Paul's house.

Vincent's Pay It Forward

Julibella's Pay It Forward.
Part 1
Pay It Forward is an act of kindness where you don't expect anything in return. It's an idea that one person could make a difference in the world. In the movie, a boy is given an assignment to try and change the world. He comes up with this idea where he helps three people, who then have to help another three and "Pay It Forward". My Pay It Forward act of kindness was giving toys to the children's hostipal, and handing out candy canes with cards. My group was Diorella, Marilen, Marie, and Angel. I chose this activity because I wanted to wish the kids and adults a Merry Christmas and I wanted to make them happy and just to see their smiles on their faces. We helped sick kids in the Children's Hostipal, and also people just around Winnipeg. We made our own cards that read, "Merry Christmas. Happy Holidays.You've been hit by an act of kindness. Pay it forward." We also bought toys for the Children's Hospital. When we got to the hostipal a lady came to picked up the toys. After, we went to Polo Park to hand out cards and candy canes. We did our act of kindness on Saturday, December 18, 2010.

Our act of kindness went well when we were at the hospital. We had to wait a little bit for the lady to come and pick up the toys. The lady that took the toys was very kind, kind enough to allow us to take a picture with us. I felt like we make a lot of children happy with all the toys we bought for them. I wish we were able to give the toys personally to the children. So we could see their smiling faces, but just knowing that we made kids smile just made my day. I am glad that we chose to go to the Children's hospital.
When we went to Polo Park we were going to hand out the cards with candy canes to people Diorella dressed up as an elf and Marie dressed up as Santa. We handed one to a mom with 3 kids and one security guard. We went to the washroom to fix Marie's costume and when we came out there were a bunch of security guards. One of the security guards said that we weren't allowed to hand out candy canes to people under administration rules. We were all kind of bummed. We even hand our friends dress up in costumes all for nothing, but instead of standing around doing nothing we decided to put the cards with candy canes on the windshields of cars. It was cold outside, but knowing that we could make people smile kept us going.

The idea of "Pay It Forward" is important because knowing that just one person can make a difference in the would is amazing. Imagine what a group of people could do. It doesn't matter what you look like, where you live, who you are, or what you do, what matters is the impact it will make on the world. I honestly think that my act of kindness truly made a big difference in someone's life. We gave the kids at the Children's Hospital hope, and we let them know that someone out there cares. I chose babysitting my two little cousins as my Pay It Forward act of kindness.
Why did you choose this activity?
I chose this activity because I wanted to help out my hardworking aunt and uncle by giving them a break from looking after my cousins.

What did you do?
I looked after my cousins. I watched them play, fed them, and played video games with them.
When did you do your act of kindness?
I did my act of kindness on December 18 at around 5:30-7:30 p.m.

How did your act of kindness go?
It went really well because they behaved very well except for some issues about wanting to play a D.S. but it was broken.
What happened?
I looked after them for two hours. We played some video games, watched T.V., I looked after them while they ate dinner, and we played some other games.
How did you feel?
I felt really good about Paying It Forward. It felt really nice knowing that you were able to help out in a way.
How did the person or people react?
They were really happy that I looked after my cousins.

Yes I did because I told them that I was doing this project for school called "Pay It Forward" and I told them that it would be really nice if they would be able to do something to "Pay It Forward" too.

They told me that they would think about it but I'm not really sure if they know what they were going to do.

Why is the idea of "Pay It Forward" important?
I think that the idea of "Pay It Forward" is important because it's a chance to be able to make a difference in peoples' lives and hopefully make a difference around the world. I really like idea of helping 3 people and then getting them to help 3 more people and so on because the help will be able to spread very quickly.
Has your act of kindness made a difference?
I really hope so but if not I'll still be doing a lot of other things to "Pay It Forward" and I hope everyone else will too.

Part 1
Pay it forward is an idea for doing an act of kindness and not expecting something back. The idea came from a movie called Pay it Forward. In the movie, a young boy named Trevor is given an assighnment to come up with an idea to change the world. That is how he comes up with idea of helping someone and not expecting anything back and telling that person to pay it forward to someone else.

My act of kindness was donating some clothes to Value Village. I chose this activity because I had some old clothes lying around that I didn't need. So I figured I could donate them. So I deciced to help Value Village. I went and donated my old clothes to Value Village on Saturday December 18 2010.

My act of kindness went great it was perfect. I gave the guy who works there the bag of clothes. I felt good about it. The guy smiled and took the bag. I did not tell the guy to Pay it Forward because he is just a guy who works there.

I think paying it forward is when you do something nice for people and they'll do the same to other people. Then it makes a chain, and everyone is help.. i guess.
Part 2:
My act of kindness that I did was that I altar served at my church, St Edward. I chose this activity because I wanted to make the priest's job easier.
Part 3:
I think it went pretty well, I spent my Sunday serving at the church. I felt that for me God was close to me and this is me paying it forward for all the blessing he gave to me and to my family. The priest thanked me for all the help I provided.

I think the idea of paying it forward is important because doing something nice might effect the person or you and that we can help each other. I hope my act of kindness made a difference.
Paul's Pay It Forward
Pay It Forward is a project were 1 person will do an act of kindness to 3 people. In the movie a boy named Trevor thought of this idea to help a homeless man, his teacher Mr. Simonet and his friend that is being bullied. He thought his pay it forward didn't work but actually it did. it spread through from Las Vegas to Los Angeles. His act of kindness spreads like a tree growing or like a chain. Sadly, at the end when he tries to stand up on the bullies, he got stabbed and passed away.
My act of kindness for Pay It Forward is that I made cards with candy canes. On the card it said "Pay it Forward" on the front, then when you open it, it says what were doing and why were doing pay it forward. At the back of the card it either says "Happy holidays" for people that doesn't celebrate Christmas and "Merry Christmas and Happy New Year" for the people that do celebrate Christmas. I did my Pay It Forward with Kevin H and Vincent M. We went around the neighborhoods giving it to people, We chose this activity because it's something that we would like to work hard on and giving the cards out with the efforts we put into it. Also it is another way of letting more people know about " Pay It Forward ". We didn't have any specific people to help, we mostly helped strangers that we pass by and we passed by some friends. We gave them cards and candy canes with suggestions inside on how to help the environment. We did our Pay It Forward in December 18, 2010 starting at 2:00-6:00 pm.
These are the two guys that we thought really understood Pay It Forward. They really said that they would like to help and they really thought what we were doing was cool.
Another person is this old man shoveling snow, we approached him and told him about Pay It Forward. He even asked " Do I Pay this Forward ? " and we said " yes, you could pay it forward in anyway".
Our act of kindness really went well because over half of the cards we made have been given to many people and left on many car windshields. It was really fun talking to many people that care about the cause. We also passed through some friends along the way. I felt really happy because we gave out lots of cards with candy canes. Also that we made lots of people happy, but some of the people that we approached didn't want that card so we felt really sad about that. Some people acted surprised, some felt happy for taking the cards but some just took it and acted like it was just nothing. We really asked a lot of people to pay it forward because on the card it says " Pay It Forward" and what pay it forward is. Lots of people reacted a little confused for the request so we had to explain it more in details. If we really didn't ask the person to pay it forward, it's probably because that person acted like the card and our efforts was just nothing.

You have to help 3 people and you don't expect anything back. It keeps going by helping three other people and so on. Trevor first helps a homeless man, but it didn't turn out very well until he asked the lady to have coffee with him. Later on, Trevor helps Mr. Simonet by planning a date with his mom - but it didn't work out either until at the end. Near at the end, Trevor gets stabbed while defending his friend by the bullies who were hurting him. He sadly passed away. But the movement of the "Pay It Forward" was sucessful as a large number of people who gathered around Trevor's house - placing candles and flowers in front of his yard as a remembrance.
