### Patrick's Math Profile.

Hello, My name is Patrick and I take Grade 8 math. When people ask me if I like math, I always say yes because it is one of my favorite subjects in school. The best thing I have ever done in math class was fractions. I really like fractions because they are fun to play around with and you can make them as small as you want. I remember when in Grade 5, when i was bored I would play around with circles. I would cut it up into small pieces and try to count how many pieces i made. It was pretty fun for me and it wasted a lot of time when I was waiting for something.

Last year in Grade 7, I really liked the unit on Fractions. I did very well in this unit because I really like to use fractions, to me it's very fun. The unit that made me struggle was learning about Pi. Trying to find the circumference and the area. I always got confused because I couldn't remember the formulas. This year, I will try to find out some tricks to remember the formulas.

This year, I will try to do more work and try not to procrastinate. Last year I remembered that I would always wait till the last minute to do my work, and sometimes I would even forget to do my work so i would have to rush it all right before math class. This year, I want to learn about anything new and things I never learned about last year in math.

Last year I did post a couple of blogs. My favorite post I made was about angles. I really liked this one because it looked very cool and I spent a lot of time on it. Blogging helped me become a better student by helping me review what we all did in class. It also helped when we needed to study for the final exam. I am looking forward for many things to do in the computers in math class, but I am really looking forward for making movies. I've seen some of the movies that Mr. Harbeck's previous students have made on Youtube. I can't wait until I make one of those videos.

1. Patrick, angles are cool and you can see them any where you go!

2. Wonderful job Patrick, I liked how you got to cut circles and count them. Thats really fascinating!

3. Interesting profile Patrick, I saw that pi really made you struggle and you already know that you can improve more by do ing your work on time. I hope you improve and keep up te good blog.

4. Nice post Patrick. I too had a hard time on Pi last year because it was so confusing. But it will make more sense as we get into it more. Hope to seeing more of your posts.

5. Good job, Patrick! I really liked that you had lots to say! I enjoyed reading your post! Good job!

6. Nice job Patrick! It was very interesting reading your profile. Good work and keep it up.
