Jae Anne's Math Profile

Hi! My name is Jae Anne. I'm a Grade 8 student in Sargent Park School. If someone ask me if I like math, Iwould say honestly NOT REALLY, because math hurts my brain.Solving equations, formulas or even small numbers to compute. But I like puzzles, playing numbers, sometimes I like solving algebra things. I remember something that make me like math. When I was Grade 6, we had an activity row by row. It is about integers that our teacher will give us. After my groupmates are finished, it's my turn now. I'm so nervous when going to the working area. When the teacher gave us the problem, I start solving. After few minutes, others are finished and they are passing the answer, there I am ALMOST done. When I finished it, I pass it fast to the other corner of the room so our teacher can see. I'm so nervous when our teacher was looking at our answers. In my mind I thought we lost because I am the last person to finished the question and one of my opponent is the smartest person in math in our class, but... here comes the result...our teacher points out his finger to our answer and say "They are the only one who got the correct answer." I was so surprised that we were the only one group that was correct. YESSSS!!!

Last year, I am first year hhigh school but here in Canada, it is Grade 7 and that's my last year in Philippines. I really like fractions, and integers. I like fractions on how they were written and solve. I like integers because they were cute. It have positive and negative. I am struggling with pi or 3.14. I can't get it even my classmate help me. This year I'll try to concentrate on listening carefully and remeber all the things that have discussed.

This year, I am Grade 8. I will finish all jobs, activities, projects, and homeworks needed for this year's math class. I'll do my best to pass this Math subject. And I like to learn something new this year to be succesful before going to Grade 9.

I'm not a blogger last year. I didn't study in Sargent Park Scholl last year because I'm in Philippines and I went here in Canada last June 18. So, I'm new here and start to study Grade 8. But I think blogging or blogs can help me to be succesful this year. Blogging is where we can learn new something that maybe new to us. I'm looking forward to this blog to the end of this year.
