Perfect Squares

1x1, 2x2 and 3x3 are Perfect Squares.
OR
, and are Perfect Squares



Any number can be a square.
Example: 20
You have to find out the square root of 20.
You can use your calculator and punch in √(square root) 20, or 20 if there is an error.
20=4.472135955. OR 4.47.

HOMEWORK: Tell me what you know about squares.

  1. A fairly helpful post, Patrick. Although, I would've liked to see a link to a site or even a video. I liked your picture nonetheless and the colors were a nice touch, just remember not to go too overboard with them. Here's a link to a site which I thought would be useful:http://www.maths.com/numbers.square.htm. There should be 2 videos there too. I hope that helped even a little bit. Keep up the great work.

  2. Great job Patrick! I liked the picture you used, it helps the reader visualize the intervals better. I also liked the colours you used to emphasize the important words, it's always nice to have a splash of colour here and there. By the way, thanks for putting the homework, that could be very helpful for students who didn't have time to write it down at the end of class (like me), very thoughtful! Well, again great post, keep up the good work!

  3. Great Job on the post Patrick. The picture you made is very helpful for the people that are having trouble visualizing the number line. Your examples for square root was also helpful because
    it gives the solver the way to figure out the square root, Great job.

  10. Great post Patrick. Its good that you included the homework and I liked that you added the small detail of the error on the calculator. But one thing you should have done was add was a link like everyone else mentioned and I agree that the font makes things stand out. I also like the picture that you added.
